Bachelet inaugurates Mapuche exposition in China

Photographs and paintings, as well as crafts made of ceramic, wood and silver as well as other artifacts will be on display beginning tomorrow.

BEIJING.- President Michelle Bachelet inaugurated the “Mapuche: Seeds of Chile” exposition at the Beijing Museum stating, “it brings Chileans back to the deepest roots of our identity”.


Bachelet toured the exposition along with the head of the museum, Guo Xiao Ling and the chief Curator of Relics, Shan Ji Xiangs.


“Today, more than 600,000 people preserve their link to mother Earth and the traditional way of life in Chile, recognized for its diversity and looking to become richer in all aspects”, stated Bachelet.


Photographs and paintings, as well as crafts made of ceramic, wood and silver will be on display with other artifacts beginning tomorrow.
