SANTIAGO.- In only one minute and thirty seconds, three suspects managed to take more than 20 million pesos from an Edwards Citibank office located at 12528 El Rodeo Avenue, in the municipality of Lo Barnechea.

The thieves arrived at approximately 9:35 AM wearing hoods and armed with revolvers, which they used to threaten the security guard – taking his gun and later using it to intimidate two cashiers.

According to preliminary reports, the suspects arrived at the bank in a white Subaru, which they later used to flee the area, heading east along Camino Central. The assailants then abandoned the Subaru on La Grulla Street, where officials believe they may have gotten into another get-away vehicle.

OS9 police officers from the 53rd Police Station arrived at the scene along with officials from the Bureau of Police Investigations (PID) to begin a search for the suspects. The case will be handled by the East Metropolitan Public Attorney's Office.
