SANTIAGO.– As is customary when the national soccer team returns to Chile, the player's arrival at the International Airport was complete chaos.

Although the media expected players to be ready and willing to speak with them in the airport terminal, this was not the case.

The players dispersed, expertly leaving through different exits in order to avoid contact with the press.

Many even avoided taking the bus that waited to transport them to the Juan Pinto Sports Complex, choosing instead to take private vehicles. Others skillfully avoided being seen at all.

Despite media insistence on getting a statement, the only ones who spoke were Emilio Hernández and José Pedro Fuenzalida.

The Universidad de Chile winger commented on the match against the Mexican team, stating that "it was a very aggressive game, but we knew how to follow through and win".

"We demonstrated that we are a viable alternative", Hernández added.

Forward O'Higgins emphasized that "what is important is that we are a young team that is doing things right. We hope to continue contributing to the national team, any one of us is a good alternative".
