Police arrest man implicated in murder of truck driver

SANTIAGO.– Investigative Police (PDI) have detained one of the subjects know to have participated in the murder of Luis Naranjo Vera, the driver of a Coca-Cola delivery truck that was hijacked yesterday in La Florida by a group of criminals who attempted to steal the cargo.

The detainee, identified as 24-year-old Alexander Carlos Luengo, was captured in the Nuevo Amanecer neighborhood of the same Municipality.

According to what was reported by Radio Cooperativa, at the time of his arrest, the man was also found to be in possession of one of the arms used in the crime.

He has confessed before police to his participation in the assault, but not to the homicide.
