SANTIAGO. - Nicolás Massú has had some tough days recently in the ATP circuit. After losing in the first round of the Costa do Sauípe tournament against Nicolás Almagro he fell three notches in the ATP ranking.

The Chilean appears at number 97 this week, with 432 points, having already lost the ground he had managed to gain the week before.

The tennis player from Viña del Mar will have the opportunity to bounce back this week at the ATP in Buenos Aires where he will probably go up against Italian Filippo Volandri (no. 41).

The number 3 tennis player of Chile, Paul Capdeville, also went down in his classification. The Santiago native appeared today at number 107, two slots below his position last week.

Meanwhile, top Chilean player Fernando González moved up one position and is currently at number 15 worldwide. His lumbar problem, however, means that he may not be able to return to the circuit.
