Police arrest third accomplice to murder of police officer in Quilicura

Police General Jorge Rojas has stated that those who aid fugitive suspects can be sentenced to between 10 to 15 years in jail.

SANTIAGO. - The Special Operations 9 and police investigative unit in charge of the investigation of the robbery of the Trendy refrigerator store and subsequent murder of two police officers in Quilicura arrested Ramón Belisario, the case’s only suspect still at large since the February incident.


According to the Chief of the Crime and Drug investigative Unit, General Jorge Rojas, the arrest occurred at 11:30 PM, in a home in the southeast sector of Santiago.  Law enforcement officers arrived just 20 minutes after the suspect had fled the area. Rojás stressed that those who aid or collaborate with wanted criminals are subject to charges and may be sentenced 10 to 15 years in jail.


 Sources have indicated that the detained suspect has been identified as 30 year-old Miguel Olguín Ruz.  Olguín was arrested on Miguel Prado street in the neighborhood of El Bosque.
