$400 million pesos stolen from logistics company in Pudahuel

The heist was carried out by nine individuals, who made off with items valued at the million-peso figure using one of the company’s own trucks.

SANTIAGO. - According to police, the company APL Logística Chile, located in the municipality of Pudahuel, suffered a large-scale robbery worth hundreds of millions of pesos yesterday.


Nine individuals carried out the operation in which some 400 million pesos worth of goods were taken after having entered the building at approximately 7:00 PM yesterday evening.


According to reports, the perpetrators had prior information about the company, including codes to the safes, locations of security cameras and alarms, as well the trucks – leading investigators to believe the suspects may be somehow linked to the business.


After the burglary, the suspects used one of the company’s own trucks to flee the scene along with the stolen items.


Captain Juan Pablo Ríos of the 26th Pudahuel Police Station told Chilevisión. “they knew the company had a camera security system, they knew  how to use the forklifts in the storage halls, they also knew the alarm system codes, meaning the codes to deactivate the system”.
