VALPARAÍSO.- Operators for the Valparaíso Subway system halted activities today to mark the beginning of a collective negotiation process.
Nevertheless, according to Governor Ricardo Bravo, the underground transit system is currently running with part-time operators during peak hours in order to partially satisfy the demand.
Subway users have had to make due with other transportation options such as buses and collective taxis, which are functioning normally.
The Valparaíso Subway system covers an important stretch of the Fifth Region, running from the town of Limache to the port of Valparaíso.
