SAN SEBASTIÁN.- Two feature-length Chilean films are hoping to procure funding at the 14th Films in Production event, which has returned as part of the San Sebastián Film Festival, scheduled to take place on the 23rd and 24th of September.

The Chilean films participating are "La nana" by Sebastián Silva ("La vida me mata") and "Ilusiones ópticas" by Cristián Jiménez (a co-production between Chile, Portugal and France) and share the category with two Mexican films, an Argentine film and a Nicaraguan film.

The films chosen for the category, which was organized in conjunction with Toulouse Latin American Film Encounters (France) to support films with post-production difficulties, were selected among 64 films from approximately 20 countries.

"Ilusiones ópticas", which passed through the French village in April of this year, will now get a second chance to benefit from the Films in Production financing, now presenting a more complete montage than what had previously been shown.
