SANTIAGO. -  Now that the test results of applicants to the various degree paths have been revealed, the process of registering at the nation’s traditional universities will begin today and continue until January 5th.

While speaking about the registration process, the head of Higher Level Education for the Ministry of Education (MINEDUC), Alonso Núñez, stated that the ministry encourages students to “opt for quality institutions, which have undergone an accreditation process and can guarantee stability as well as quality over time”.

The educational authority reminded citizens that those accepted will have until January 5th to occupy their vacancy and register at the universities they were accepted to.

Núñez also indicated that if a student has already registered at a private institution and would like to make use of his or her vacancy at a traditional university, the current law establishes that they have the right to withdraw so that “families do not become financially trapped”.
