SANTIAGO.- A curious robbery took place last night at a home located in the Los Dominicos sector of Las Condes, where two thieves stole only a silver dish set despite the fact that there were items of higher value, such as jewellery and electronics, in the residence.

According to the Major if the 47th Commissary, Edwin Valdéz, the subjects arrived at 9:00 p.m. to the house located on Calle Paul Harris, where they rang the doorbell and threatened the housekeeper.

Once inside, the woman was tied up with radio cables. Nevertheless, after just minutes inside the home, the assailants made off with only a silver dish set evaluated as being worth some 300 thousand pesos.

"The strange thing is that, despite the fact that there were items of higher value, they took only the plates", stated the police chief, adding that the victim, who has not been identified, said that the intruders were between 18 and 20 years of age, had tattoos and were wearing sports clothing.
