Hario Glass Co. staff Miki Yoshida performs on a glass-made guzheng, a traditional Chinese musical instrument which is said to be the root of the Japanese koto, at the Japan´s heat resistant glass maker headquarters in Tokyo. The 1.5 meter (5 foot) glass guzheng that weighs 70kg (157 lb), 10 times heavier than the paulownia one, was made at a cost of 32.5 million yen (US$282,657). Ver más.

US actor Samuel L. Jackson is seen arriving for the world premiere of "Home of the Brave", yesterday in Beverly Hills, Calif. The film is about the story of four American soldiers nearing the end of their tours of duty in Iraq. Shortly after learning their unit will soon return home, they are sent on one final humanitarian mission to bring medical supplies to a remote Iraq village. The unit is ambushed and takes heavy losses. The surviving troops suffer both physical and psychological injuries. Ver más.

Image shows "Victoria Crater" on the planet Mars through red and blue filters by the High Resolution Imaging science experiment on NASA´s Mars Reconaissance Orbiter. The vertical relief appears much steeper than is actually the case, as some of the cliffs around the crater are in fact vertical, the slopes below the cliffs are no steeper than 30 degrees. Ver más.
