Former journalist Pierre Jeantet was apointed today to take the helm of France´s Le Monde daily, ending weeks of uncertainty over the leadership of the country´s newspaper of record. Jeantet, 60, the vice president of the newspaper group will replace Jean-Marie Colombani, who served as president for 13 years but was forced to step down after he failed to win a vote of confidence by journalists. Ver más.

British police arrested two more suspects in a hunt for members of a suspected al Qaeda cell which rammed a fuel-packed jeep into a Scottish airport and left two car bombs in London.
