Construction is underway at Beijing´s National Stadium known also as the Bird´s Nest in Beijing, China. Beijing´s 2008 Olympic venues are nearing completion, with 11 of them set to hold test events in August. The only venue that´s not expected to be entirely finished this year is the 91,000 seat National Stadium, known as the "Bird´s Nest". However, it will be completed early next year, in time to hold a test event in the spring. Ver más.

French radio personality Sam Bernett, whose French language book is called "The End: Jim Morrison", claimed Morrison died in a toilet stall of his nightclub, after what he believes was a heroin overdose. Bernett, who was in his early 20s when Morisson died in 1971, went on to become a prominent radio personality, rock biographer and a vice president of Disneyland Paris. Bernett kept his story quiet until his wife suggested writing a book last year. Ver más.

The Abora III, a boat made of reeds and wood passes the Empire State Building after it was launched today in New York Harbor for a transatlantic crossing. Project leader German botanist Dominique Görlitz is trying to show pre-historic Atlantic crossings were possible.
