A woman and girl walk alongside Doris salcedo´s work "Shibboleth", a giant crack in the floor of the Tate Modern in London. Colombian artist Doris Salacedo has filled Tate Modern´s cavernous Turbine Hall with a hole a the latest work in the art gallery´s annual installation series. Dubbed "Shibboleth" after the biblical massacre of the same name, the work is a trench dug into the concrete floor running its entire 167m starting as a crack and ending as a chasm.

An auction house employee exhibits a painting entitled "The Rude Lord" by British artist Banksy, today at Sotheby´s auction house in central London. The painting is expected to fetch about US$ 306,000-407,000 (217,000-289,000 euros) at Sotheby´s sale of Contemporary Art.
