The European Court of Justice is expected to rule today against the so-called "Volkswagen Law", paving the way for Porsche to take control of the continent´s biggest carmaker. Striking down the 40 year old law which prevents Volkswagen from being taken over would allow Porsche to raise its 31% stake to a majority.

Knut, the world famous polar bear is seen playing with a toy as he takes a bath today at his zoo enclosure in Berlin. Knut has reached a weight of 100 kilograms. His daily meal consists of fish, meat, fruits, vegetables and bread, but his favorite is sweet buns. The bear, born in December 2006, caused a global sensation when he survived rejection by his mother and attracted more than a million visitors to the zoo.
