BUENOS AIRES.- Luis Lobo, ex coach to Marcel Ríos and organizer of the Argentine Cup, an event that will celebrate its 5th year anniversary in December, spoke to Emol via telephone.

"Seven of the eight players have been confirmed. David Nalbandian (9th), Carlos Moya (17th), Juan Ignacio Chela (20th), Juan Mónaco (23rd), Agustín Calleri (42nd), Luis Horna (73rd) and Mariano Zabaleta (104th), will be playing", said the ex doubles player and current tournament organizer for the Argentine Cup, which will take place between the 13th and 16th of December at the Lawn Tennis in Buenos Aires.

The eighth place has been left unoccupied by Argentine player, Guillermo Cañas, who suffered an injury to his left wrist.

Lobo admits that Fernando Gonzales (7th) "is an option", but says that they are talking to other players as well.

Marcelo Ríos' ex coach added "Fernando is coming to Argentina to see his girlfriend and we'll talk and see if he is also interested".
