SANTIAGO.- For the upcoming 2008 season, the only new additions to Cobreloa are two Paraguayan players and coach Gustavo Benítez. In the hopes of putting together a stronger team that can compete for the tournament, managers for Cobreloa are looking through records in the search of new players.

The directors' first mission is to keep Jean Beausejour, a player who has made a very good impression due to his performance during the last part of the tournament. Some of his athletic displays even led him to be nominated by Marcelo Bielsa for the Chilean National Team tour in Asia.

But it won't be easy for Cobreloa to keep the forward due to the fact that other clubs abroad, as well as in Santiago, are interested in opening their doors to the player.

The name of Argentine player Ramón Óscar Cornejo has also been heard recently in Calama. Cornejo is 24 year-old player who was trained at club San Lorenzo de Almagro in Argentina.

Besides San Lorenzo, Cornejo has also played for the teams Gimnasia y Esgrima de La Plata and University of Lima, among others. The Argentine player is currently coming from Deportivo Cali in Colombia.
