VALPARAÍSO.- A group of deputies began a parliamentary motion this month to regulate the sale of "excessively violent" videogames.

Deputies Gonzalo Arenas, Enrique Estay, Javier Hernández, Juan Lobos, Juan Masferrer, Iván Moreira, Felipe Salaberry, Gastón Von Mühlenbrock, Marcela Cubillos and Marisol Turres propose that age-appropriate ratings be required on videogames in order to regulate their sale.

The document, which was introduced to the Economic Commission on December 19th, also calls for all video game consoles to have a parental control system.
