SANTIAGO.- One day following the filing of Peru's border dispute at The Hague, President Michelle Bachelet stated that Chile maintains its position that there are no unresolved boundaries between the two countries and that this will be revealed accordingly.
While visiting the San Bernardo Farmers Organization, the President stated that "we have made clear the fact that we have no pending business, but Chile obviously has a position that it maintains and we will make our position understood correspondingly".
After meeting with approximately 300 young military service volunteers, Bachelet took a moment to briefly respond to questions from the press and assert that unity against the Peruvian lawsuit can "undeniably" be seen in the country.
"I think this is part of the attitude that we have also seen here with these young volunteers, and it is the most important aspect of all, to pursue this through the proper channels in court, just like I said on the first day, the only cause that matters here is Chile and we are all united in that", she asserted.
