LONDON.- Copper finished off with a 1.16% rise today at the London Metal Exchange (LME) after trading for $ 3.17537 U.S. dollars per pound of "grade A", compared to $ 3.13886 U.S. dollars on Tuesday and $ 3.13432 U.S. dollars on Monday.
Despite today's price, the monthly and yearly average fell to $ 3.19587 U.S. dollars. The future-3-month price ended at $ 3.16608 U.S. dollars per pound, up 1.90% from Tuesday ($ 3.10711 U.S. dollars).
At the LME, stocks decreased by 2,675 metric tons, to 176,175. So far this year, an overall drop of 21,275 MT (-10.77%) has been accumulated.
