VIÑA DEL MAR.- Argentine tennis player Sergio Roitman (no. 72) is cheered on by a couple of fellow- nationals as he runs from one side to another on the 5th court of the La Salinas Club in Viña del Mar, perhaps hinting at the difficult game he faces Monday against Chilean player Nicolás Massú (no. 70) at the ATP in Chile's "Garden City".
The 67th seeded player in the world has not halted for one minute in his plan of action against Massú, hoping to keep the Chilean player from gaining any kind of upper hand.
While making his way to the car that would take him to his hotel, he signed autographs and posed for several photos with the children playing on the lawn of the athletic facility. Roitman kindly stopped for a moment to tell Emol about his strategy against Chile's number-2 tennis player.
"It's going to be a very close match. I know Nico really well and I know what tennis level he is at. I hope to play my best and advance on to the next round", he said.
"I feel really good physically and I believe I'll bring a good game to the court tonight", stated the Argentine player. Roitman has played against Massú on three previous occasions, suffering two defeats and garnering one win against the Chilean.
