SANTIAGO.- Police have launched an extensive search to locate three suspects who broke into a house early this morning at 18559 Camino El Cajón, in the municipality of Lo Barnechea.

The intruders were armed with guns and did not use masks upon entering the house through a bedroom window.

After threatening the housekeeper, gagging her with tie and locking her in a room, the assailants ransacked the home looking for money and valuables.

The woman however, managed to free herself and call the police, according to Radio Cooperativa.

After realizing that the police were on their way, the suspects fled the scene, taking a computer and electronic guitar simulator.

Reports indicate that the home did not have an alarm system or any other type of security except for a camera.
