SEOUL.- Chile is set to return home after having defeated South Korea thanks to a goal scored by Gonzalo Fierro, which finished off the team's Asian tour. Chile's National Team will arrive home undefeated after a 0-0 tie against Japan last Saturday.

The team stepped up its collective game in South Korea, especially when compared to the match against Japan. Argentine coach Marcelo Bielsa decided to keep the same player formation, and it turned out to be a good choice.

Despite the fact that the Koreans took over parts of the match, Chile was able to focus their technique and seize the first half. Errors made during the end of the first half, however, kept Chile from scoring the first goal of the game.

As the second half began, Korea made an aggressive offensive move and was almost able to score against Chile, but the South American team managed to respond with strong and consistent defense.

During minute 54 of the match, Fierro (a player for Colo Colo) scored the first and final point after shooting through the Korean goal guarded by Jung Sung-Ryong.

Chile's National Team will return home on Friday – their next friendly match is scheduled for March 26th against Israel in Tel Aviv.
