Copper registers slight drop at the London Metal Exchange

The red metal fell 0.08%, after being priced at $ 3.24999 U.S. dollars per pound of "grade A".

LONDON.- Copper closed today with a slight drop of 0.08% at the London Metal Exchange (LME) after trading for $ 3.24999 U.S. dollars per pound of "grade A", compared to $ 3.25271 U.S. dollars on Tuesday and $ 3.12661 U.S. dollars on Monday.


After figuring in today's price, the monthly and yearly average reached
$ 3.20046 U.S. dollars.


The future-3-month price ended at $ 3.26133 per pound, up 0.15% from Tuesday ($ 3.25634 U.S. dollars).


At the LME, stocks decreased by 625 metric tons, to 170,650. So far this year, an overall drop of 26,800 MT has been registered (-13.57%).
