LONDON.- Copper closed with a 0.8% rise at the London Metal Exchange (LME) today after trading for $ 3.25249 U.S. dollars per pound of "grade A", compared to $ 3.24999 U.S. dollars on Wednesday and $ 3.25271 U.S. dollars on Tuesday.
As a result, the monthly and yearly average reached $ 3.20283 U.S. dollars.
The future-3-month price ended at $ 3.25223 U.S. dollars per pound, down 0.28% from Wednesday ($ 3.26133 U.S. dollars).
At the LME, stocks increased by 8,125 metric tons, to 178,775. So far this year, an overall drop of 18,675 MT (+10.45%) has been accumulated.
