LONDON.- Copper closed with a 0.68% drop today at the London Metal Exchange (LME) after trading for $ 3.30896 U.S. dollars per pound of "grade A", compared to $ 3.33164 U.S. dollars on Friday and $ 3.25249 U.S. dollars on Thursday.
Including today's price, the monthly average reached $ 3.32030 U.S. dollars, while the yearly average increased to $ 3.21262 U.S. dollars.
The future-3-month price ended at $ 3.30957 U.S. dollars per pound, down 0.58% from Friday ($ 3.32892 U.S. dollars).
At the LME, stocks decreased by 750 metric tons, to 177,050. So far this year, an overall drop of 20,400 MT (-10.33%) has been registered.
