Copper continues to fall at the London Metal Exchange

The red metal plunged 1.28%, to $ 3.26677 U.S. dollars.

SANTIAGO.- Copper closed with a 1.28% drop today at the London Metal Exchange after trading for $ 3.26677 U.S. dollars per pound of "grade A", compared to $ 3.30896 U.S. dollars on Monday and $ 3.33164 U.S. dollars on Friday.


Including today's price, the monthly average has reached $ 3.30246 U.S. dollars, while the yearly average has risen to $ 3.21478 U.S. dollars.


The future-3-month price ended at $ 3.27206 per pound, down -1.13% from Monday ($ 3.30957 U.S. dollars). 


At the LME; stocks decreased by 2,275 metric tons, to 174,775. So far this year, an overall drop of 22,675 MT has been registered.
