Police arrest man suspected of murdering two brothers in La Florida

SANTIAGO.- After an intensive search, police arrested 23 year-old Sebastián Montecinos Llanos early this morning. Montecinos is the primary suspect wanted for the slaying of two brothers in La Florida.

The man had been evading capture since last night, after allegedly shooting 41 year-old Luis Yáñez Rojas along with his brother, 33 year-old Jaime Yánez Rojas. The incident occurred in the victims' home located at 888 pasaje Guallatiri in the Villa O'Higgins neighborhood of the municipality of La Florida.

The bodies of Luis and Jaime Yánez were found by their brother Guillermo, who had been in a bedroom at the time of the shootings.

According to police, Guillermo Yáñez stated that the confrontation between the men was about drugs and that Montecinos was a small-time trafficker in the area.
