Audax Italiano to head off the Chilean soccer weekend

SANTIAGO. -  The confrontation between Audax Italiano and Cobresal at the monumental stadium at 6:00pm on Saturday marks the opening of the 5th event of the Apertura Chilean Soccer Tournament.

The Italian team will head off the weekend games due to the fact that their debut in the group phase of the Libertadores Cup is Tuesday. They will play against Sportivo Luqueño in Pedreros.

The Católica is also set to play on Saturday, but at 8:30pm against Provincial Osorno in the San Carlos de Apoquindo Stadium.

The Universidad de Chile team goes up against Unión Española in the Chiledeportes Regional Stadium in Valparaíso.

For the first time in the Apertura, the Universidad de Chile will play with fans in the stands. Previously they had been obligated to play without spectators due to a sanction imposed by the ANFP after incidents that occurred in the last tournament against Colo Colo.

Colo Colo will also play on Sunday at 5:00pm against the Rangers in the Fiscal de Talca.
