LAN named best airline in Latin America

SANTIAGO.- LAN was chosen as the best airline of the region in the ranking published by the North American business periodical Latin Trade, the article was entitled “The Best of Latin America 2008”. LAN received the best overall score in a competition of 12 airlines.

The magazine publishes this ranking annually and the scores are based on reader votes (the most of whom are executives and frequent travelers), regarding travel and business in Latin America. Over 1200 readers participated in the survey and shared their comments and opinions about airlines, airports, car rental agencies, hotels and restaurants in the region. 

LAN took first place in the airline category, garnering the highest average score that included a number of variables. Some of the aspects considered were: business class, comfort and service in the cabins, food and drinks, frequent flyer programs, and ticketing and boarding. The company received the most points in the categories of business class, comfort and service in the cabins, and food and drinks.

Additionally, the Neruda VIP room in the Santiago airport was voted as the finest in the region.
