SANTIAGO.-  Verónica Espinoza, the wife of Gerardo Rocha, has been under interrogation since 10:00 AM today at the Department of Homicide Investigation in the municipality of Providencia.

Public Attorney Álvaro Pérez is in charge of investigating the death of former Public Auctioneer, Fernando Oliva, who was found dead after fire at his home in El Quisco.

The woman had given preliminary statements to the Public Attorney’s Office, but had not been previously been interrogated.  Currently however, more details of the case have become available, allowing investigators to confront her allegations.

The first statement made by the woman indicated that the she had been abused by the victim for 15 years – leading investigators to consider this a possible motive for the crime.

The police currently possess two videos, which were turned in yesterday by Private Detective Dante Yutronic, showing Verónica Espinoza and Fernando Oliva together in El Quisco during October of last year.
