Clothing found belonging to one of the missing children in Valdivia

The items were discovered at a neighboring home.

VALDIVIA.-  New clues have surfaced this morning in the case of two missing girls in Valdivia after clothing articles belonging to  seven-year old Camilia Godoy were discovered in the home of one of  girl’s neighbors. Camila Godoy was reported missing last night along with her friend, six-year old Sofía Sarabia in the area of Isla Teja.


The neighbor, whose identity has not yet been released, was arrested and taken by police to the First Police Station in Valdivia.


Six-year old Safía Sarabia and her friend, seven-year old Camila Godoy, were last seen around 10:00 PM last night.  According to witnesses, both girls disappeared with a bearded man who had offered to give them a dog. 


A search for the girls has been ongoing since the early hours of this morning, but has currently yielded no results. Police search efforts are being aided by neighbors and radio-taxi drivers.
