SANTIAGO.-  Chancellor Alejandro Foxely announced today that the United States Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice, will visit Chile in March.  Foxely stated however, that the exact date of the visit, agenda and list of issues to be addressed are still in preparation.

In addition to announcing the visit from the U.S. Secretary of State, Foxely also announced the visits of Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa and Italian President Giorgio Napolitano in Chile from the 15th to the 19th of March.

The United States arbitrated the agreement signed in 1929 between Peru and Chile after the Pacific War, which legally establishes maritime borders.

Alejandro Foxely indicated that many visits by high-ranking officials, such as the Rio Group Summit to be held in March, are scheduled in Latin America this year.
