SANTIAGO.-  Three unidentified individuals between the ages of 17 and 18 broke into the home of 50 year-old José Gutiérrez Arrivillaga — a partner of the salmon company, Multiexport Foods.

The owner of the house, located on La Grulla in the municipality of Lo Barnechea, was alerted by the screams of his wife, 48 year-old Mónica del Pedregal Labbe. He and his son went to find her, at which point Gutiérrez and his son found three unmasked intruders threatening his wife with a knife.

After forcing the family to obey them, the assailants searched the rooms of the residence, taking with them four Sony lap-top computers; three Ipod music players; an Apple Iphone; and 152 thousand pesos in cash handed over to them by Pedregal Labbe.
After finding no more money in the home, the individuals forced Pedregal Labbe to drive her Mazda truck to an Edwards Bank office on La Dehesa Ave. and make a 200-thousand peso cash withdrawal.

Finally, after returning to the home, the assailants hog-tied the entire family and fled the scene.

José Reyes Klener, the prosecutor on duty at the time for the Las Condes Public Attorney’s Office, was sent to the home. Reyes Klener set-up vehicle-control points and patrol officers around the residence, but has not been able to gather any information on the suspects.
