SANTIAGO.- The mayor of Huechuraba, Carolina Plaza, emphatically assured that she has been receiving all kinds of messages warning her to revoke the charges she has filed against Joaquín Lavín´s son in law, Isaac Givovich, who has been accused of embezzlement her municipality.
“It is an unfortunate situation that has cast a negative light on public service, especially for young people. But for more than a month now I have been receiving threats not to tell the truth about what is happening in Huechuraba”, Plaza (a member of the UDI) stated during an interview with Radio Cooperativa.
The statement came as a response from Plaza concerning accusations of poor administration in the municipality, after Givovich indicated that she had been professionally negligent.
Regarding Joquín Lavín´s defense against accusations involving his son in law, Plaza maintained that Lavín does not have enough information about the case.
