JUNÍN DE LOS ANDES. -  Extradition is uncertain for the two suspects and one accomplice arrested in San Martín de Los Andes during the early morning hours of Saturday, March 15th.  The men, who were intoxicated at the time, were detained after one of them (a Chilean national) pulled out a 9mm handgun during a fistfight with guards at a local pub.

Those arrested were ex-Lautauro Movement members Marcelo Villarroel and Freddy Fuentevilla, as well as former sociology student, David Cid. Villarroel and Fuentevilla are wanted in the case of a bank robbery that resulted in the death of Police Corporal Luis Moyano, while Cid is accused of aiding and abetting.

The defense attorney for the suspects, Gonzalo Crespo, says he doubts the three men, being held in custody in the towns of Junín de los Andes and Zapala, will be extradited.  Crespo has stated that in this particular case, extradition is only possible after all legal proceedings have concluded, and added that the process is not a swift one and can often carry on for days, weeks or even months.
