SANTIAGO. - The Prosecutor’s office of Nuñoa decided not to bring charges against Gerardo Rocha today. He is in critical condition at the clínica Indisa after being injured in a fire that he is accused of starting and in which auctioneer Jaime Oliva died.
The decision was postponed due to the fact that the act of bringing charges needs to be in person and the founder of the Santo Tomás University (Rocha) cannot be present in his critical condition.
According to Radio Cooperativa, prosecutor Vinko Fodich decided to apply an article of the Penal Code to make a request to the judge of the eighth supervisory court to postpone their audience. He also proposed the possibility of eventually holding the proceedings at the Clínica Indisa.
Regardless, this afternoon charges will be brought against Dante Yutronic, the owner of the “house of spies” and the telephone operator Abraham Gómez who was paid to tap telephone calls.
