SANTIAGO.- Police Sergeant Gonzalo Zúñiga, who filed a complaint against Commander Aldo Vidal (head of the presidential bodyguards) due to unauthorized use of a public vehicle for personal activities, has ruled out the notion of receiving any kind of support from the General Director of the institution, José Alejandro Bernales, claiming he is being persecuted.
“It hurts me when he says that he knows his people because it seems like his people are from a certain level up and the rest are just dogs”, Zúñiga told Radio Cooperativa this morning.
The police officer however, said that he is not worried because “good people go to heaven and bad people go to a place where not only hands get burnt”, alluding to Bernales´ statement of support for the former head of President Michelle Bachelet´s protection service.
Zúñiga explained that after filing the complaint in January, he had to disguise himself by wearing a wig because he feared for his life due to way police were following him.
