SANTIAGO.- Two robberies have been reported at the sporting goods stores “Intersport”, located in Vitacura, and “Tyron Adventure”, in Providencia.  The latter had not even been opened to the public yet.

Just after 11:00 PM last night, two suspects stole approximately 40 million pesos after breaking into the “Intersport” store, located on the corner of Las Hualtatas and Padre Hurtado Norte in the municipality of Vitacura.

A few hours later another robbery took place at approximately 2:30 AM this morning at the “Tyron Adventures” store, located at 163 Santa Magdalena Road in the municipality of Providencia, where the perpetrators made off with 1.5 million pesos worth of sportswear.

According to witnesses, two or three suspects used a Subaru Legacy and an iron rod to smash open a glass windowpane at the entrance to the store before stealing the merchandise.
