Man who aided ex-Lautarist members to be transferred to Santiago following deportation from Argentina

The sub secretary of the Interior, Felipe Harboe, has announced that David Cid Aedo, implicated in the murder of Officer Moyano, will be turned over to the Central North Public Prosecutor’s Office.

SANTIAGO.- The sub secretary of the Interior, Felipe Harboe, confirmed the deportation of David Cid Aedo from Argentina this morning.  Cid Aedo supposedly aided two ex-members of the Lautarist movement who took part in the robbery of bank which resulted in the death of Police Corporal Luis Moyano, announcing that the man will be taken immediately to Santiago.


Harboe has said that Cid Aedo will be turned over to Public Prosecutor Andrés Montes of the North Central Public Prosecutor’s Office, “to begin appropriate legal proceedings and hopefully to be able to gain more information about the incidents that lead to the death of Officer Luis Moyano”.


The sub secretary said that the time and place of the man’s arrival would be released sometime during the morning. 


The North Central Public Prosecutor’s Office has announced that Cid will be arraigned at 4:30 PM this afternoon at the Seventh Penalty Court on charges of being an accomplice to aggravated robbery.
