Thieves set bills on fire while trying to rob ATM machine

SANTIAGO.- This morning, a group of suspects reportedly attempted to steal money from an automatic cash machine in Los Dominicos, located in the municipality of Las Condes, but were unsuccessful. 

The individuals had planned to break open the ATM with a blowtorch however the torch ended up incinerating the bills and botching the robbery.

According to eyewitnesses, the robbers were driving a grey Chevrolet truck.

Thanks to the eyewitness information, the suspects were identified by police and are currently being pursued, although Radio Cooperativa reported that the search has yet to yield results.
