General Bernales´ name proposed for Training Squad

ANTOFOGASTA.- Stricken by the recent air tragedy in Panama, the RN senator Carlos Cantero has proposed that the Antofogasta Police Training Squad take on the name of the late National Police Chief José Alejandro Bernales Ramírez as a “well-deserved” homage.

“During the many occasions in which we were able to speak with each other, he always showed an enormous amount of affection for the institution and for those who worked for and dedicated themselves to protecting the population”, stated Cantero.

“When a police officer dies, it is like someone from our own family has died”, the senator told the regional newspaper, Estrella del Norte.
