The first transport vehicles arrived just after 11 PM and have not impeded traffic on the road as they wait for new orders from union leaders.
BUIN. - Four kilometers have now been taken over by a group of truckers that have gathered along Route 5 South outside of Buin in a organizational protest that began early this morning.
According to the Chief of the 15th Buin Police Station, Fernando López, “the first group of truckers arrived just after 11 PM last night and more and more have been gathering along both lanes between the 31st and 35th kilometers of Route 5 South, however the demonstrators have not interrupted traffic on the road”.
According to the police chief, “transport vehicles began arriving little by little and, in order to avoid more serious issues in the case that private vehicles begin to have problems along the stretch of road where the trucks are stopped, the highway company has been contacted to step in with help if necessary”.
