SANTIAGO.- The Panamanian public investigator, Maruquel Castroverde, who is in charge of researching the accident that resulted in the death of General José Bernales, his wife and his entourage, stated today that “all that has been established so far is that the aircraft was in optimal mechanical conditions. It complied with all revision protocol”.
During an interview with Radio ADN, Castroverde explained that the motors are being examined in order to find out what caused the failure and said that the investigative report could be ready in about 15 days.
The accident that took the life of the National Chief of Police, José Alejandro Bernales, and his Chilean entourage in Panama continues to be investigated by authorities in the Central American nation to discover what caused the aircraft to fall from the sky.
“The investigation has not yielded any indication of human error on the part of the pilot”, maintained the investigator.
