Lily Pérez confirms RN is willing to file constitutional charge against Vidal

SANTIAGO.- The secretary general of the National Renovation (RN), Lily Pérez, has called irregularities revealed within the Organizations Division (DOS) “the tip of the iceberg” for the department, which is run by the Ministry General Government Secretariat, and confirmed that her party is willing to consider a possible constitutional charge against Francisco Vidal. 

“We are faced with a minister that is not in control of his ministry.  We are talking about a large quantity of public resources and I think this is a case where we are just now starting to see the tip of the iceberg”, the former deputy told Radio ADN.

Lily Pérez stated that there are resources in the Fund to Strengthen Civil Society that became part of the NGO without adhering to the regular process, and said that Francisco Vidal appears not to know about activities that occur within his ministry.

“There are irregularities (...) but in the end the conclusion that many of us have reached is that the minister is not in control of what is happening within his ministry”, she stated.
