SANTIAGO.- Stressing the need to regulate government activities following allegations of more that 6.5 billion pesos that were not accounted for by the Sub Secretariat of Labor, UDI Deputy Felipe Salaberry has stated that the opposition will perform its duty strictly and carefully.

During an interview with Radio Cooperativa, the member of the Labor Commission of the Chamber of Deputies pointed out that the lack of documentation for funds that had been allocated to Employment Generation Programs (PGE) displayed “disorder and neglect”, which is why he feels it is necessary to obtain a coherent response from the Executive Branch.

“We are going to be very strict in our supervision, but careful with each of the actions that we will proceed with”, stated Salaberry.

The deputy also asserted that he and the rest of the Alianza members of Parliament would evaluate possible constitutional charges for political responsibility of the incident against the Minister of Labor, Osvaldo Andrade, “on a day-by-day basis".
