SANTIAGO.-  Police officers belonging to 0S-9 arrested 23 year-old Christopher Luna Díaz yesterday.  Díaz is accused of participating in a robbery during June of this year at the home of the Secretary General of the Santiago Chamber of Commerce, Cristían García Huidobro (56), located on El Quiosco Street in Las Condes.

The defendant was detained in the municipality of Maipú and later identified by victims of the home-invasion.  Police say that, during the robbery, the man bound the victims and threatened them with a knife.

Luna, along with two other individuals, broke into the residence while García Huidobro was watching television in his bedroom.  One of the thieves threw him onto the floor and tied his hands, while another suspect attacked his wife, who was working in the living room, and his daughter, 24 year-old Sofía, who was just getting out of the shower.  Meanwhile, a third assailant ransacked the house for valuables.  After 15 minutes, the suspects fled the home with a safe box and an off-road vehicle, which was later found in Peñalolén.
