Roberto Fantuzzi: “Why would I go door to door if I am not a candidate?”

The statement refers to the surprising support for the Santiago municipal candidate from the Concertación, Jaime Ravinet.

SANTIAGO.-  The former independent pre-candidate for Mayor of Santiago, Roberto Fantuzzi, declared that he is not part of the municipal campaign for Jaime Ravinet, nor will he not go with him “door to door”, saying that he has instead been invited to participate in a commission for small and medium-sized businesses (Pymes).

“Why would I go door to door if I am not a candidate? I am not anything! (…)  If someone invites me to participate in a commission for Pymes, I am going to attend, if the PC calls on me, I will also attend”, Fantuzzi told Radio Cooperativa.

Fantuzzi also criticized the news that his alleged “support” for Ravinet is distorted, maintaining that he is the only one they “point the finger at” for supporting good initiatives.

“Mr. Piñera switches from being a Católica fan to become a Colo Colo fan and no one says anything.  Ms. Evelyn Matthey proposes a DC member for Coquimbo due to an omission and then she is accused of being a member of the DC.  The members of the Alianza speak to Mr. Schaulsohn, from Chile Primero, and they are not accused of being from Chile Primero.  Why are they accusing me or pointing their fingers at me for supporting initiatives?”, asserted Fantuzzi.
