SANTIAGO.-  Police have arrested two men in the Municipality of La Pintana, who are accused dismantling stolen cars.

According to Radio Bío Bío, the suspects had been disassembling the automobiles to sell them as parts.

The men arrested were 26 year-old Joel Castro Aguillón and 49 year-old José Castro Robles, who ran the vulcanization plant the illicit activity had been operating out of.

Law enforcement officers are currently looking for the leader of the gang of “car choppers”, who was the member in charge of actually stealing the vehicles.
